Praise God, Who Even at Our Darkest Hour
Acts 16:16-34; Revelation 22:12-14, 16-17, 20
Praise God, who even at our darkest hour
Remembers who we are and knows our need.
Who breaks the cruel chains with mighty power,
And tears the prison bars until we're freed.
O captive soul, your time has come! Give voice!
The prison doors are open!  Let's rejoice!

Praise God for those who know of freedom's way,
Who preach with vigilance the word of God,
To lead to Christ all those who've gone astray,
And boldly bring to light Deception's fraud.
O captive soul, your time has come!  Give voice!
The prison doors are open!  Let's rejoice!

Praise God for giving us such liberty!
For tearing down the prison has a way
Of setting prisoners and jailers free
To join as one in love, in work, in play.
O captive soul, your time has come!  Give voice!
The prison doors are open!  Let's rejoice!

Praise God for all that sets us free to love
And join with those who glory 'round the throne,
With robes washed clean, to share that joy, above,
Set free on earth, to make the Savior known.
O captive soul, your time has come!  Give voice!
The prison doors are open!  Let's rejoice!
